Words matter. Of course, they do. But Simon Carne first got really interested in writing when he realised that the sequence in which he presented his ideas made a huge difference to the message. Writing in business, for courts (as an expert witness), for newspapers and journals (from the Financial Times to FourFourTwo), when giving talks and, most recently in his book, I Learned to Write, it’s partly what he says, but it’s mainly the order in which he says it.
