Daisy Stephens is a writer and journalist who has always loved ghost stories. Her gripping debut novel The Island of the Lost was published by Hodder & Stoughton in September.

This ghost story is set on Poveglia, an island located in the Venetian Lagoon, Italy. The haunting location provides the perfect backdrop for Daisy’s chilling book.

She looks forward to talking about its conception and her inspirations within the context of the wider genre. Daisy will also explore the allure of ghost stories and why humans have enjoyed sharing and even believing them throughout the centuries.
