Deanna Cappella, deputy head of English at Queen's Gate School in London, will tell us about the state of English language teaching in schools today.
The education system has been an area under much scrutiny over the past several years. Reforms in government education policy, both good and bad, have invariably affected the teaching of core subjects like English Language. This talk seeks to examine the changes in the instruction of English Language in schools, how that has impacted teaching and learning, and how future suggested changes may impact students and teachers.
Zoom meetings are open to members and non-members alike. If you would like to join the meeting, please notify Bernard Lamb at bernardlamb@btinternet.com who will send you the joining details.
